Is there any Linux driver for ADE7878A evaluation board, or a firmware which can send/receive data from UART instead of USB?

We just have started to design a new board to measure the various parameters of power lines. We have choose the ADE7878A IC and decided to start with its evaluation board and do some tests on it. However, our main system is based on Linux, so we should have Linux driver for it, or send/receive data to the evaluation board by another method, e.g. by using UART with a simpler protocol instead of USB.

So, I'm looking for a suggestion that can solve our problem...
