We have a legacy design that has this very issue.
If you operate VREF values not within this limits, then the functional operation of the device is not guaranteed.
And if you operate VREF not within the limits specified in the absolute maximum ratings, then this may cause permanent damage to the device.
Can you be any more specific? I can read the spec. There is no issue with Abs Max. Will the accuracy be off? If so in what way?
The input reference is within the maximum input range, which is specified at Vdd-4V.
Based on the architecture of the device, all the linearity specifications will be impacted due to the impedance contribution of the input switches that cannot be considered negligible anymore.
