Warnings with cycle_count.h

I am using the macros START_CYCLE_COUNT and STOP_CYCLE_COUNT in C code.  To access these, I added this to the top of my file:

#define DO_CYCLE_COUNTS

#include <cycle_count.h>

This does work, however it generates 2 warnings:

"C:\Analog Devices\CrossCore Embedded Studio 2.6.0\SHARC\include\cycle_count.h", line 38: cc0084: {D} warning: invalid combination of type specifiers
typedef _cycle_t cycle_t;

                 ^

"C:\Analog Devices\CrossCore Embedded Studio 2.6.0\SHARC\include\cycle_count.h", line 38: cc0375: {D} warning: declaration requires a typedef name
typedef _cycle_t cycle_t;

                        ^

I would like to eliminate these so it is easier to spot actual warnings.  How can I do this?  Is there a better way to import the cycle macros then what I am doing?

I am using CCES 2.6.0.  The processor is ADSP 21584.
