I know ADL5391 from a former project but I cannot find it in any parametric search (neither VGA nor mixer). Is ADL5391 going to be phased out?
The ADL5391 is under mixers and multipliers: http://www.analog.com/en/products/rf-microwave/mixers/single-double-triple-balanced-mixers/adl5391.html
An easy way to find a product if you know the number is to go to www.analog.com and use the search tool at the top of the page. An easier way yet, if you know the product number, is in the URL type the following www.analog.com/partnumber. So part example, for the ADL5391, you'd type the following: www.analog.com/ADL5391 and it will take you directly to the product's webpage. You can do this for any product.
There are no plans for obsolescence.
Dear Mr(s). Dobler,
thank you for the clarification about no plans for obsolescence.
Nevertheless I couln't find the device under
Single, Double & Triple Balanced Mixers | Analog Devices :
I fear that nobody will be able to find the device any longer w/o knowledge of its number. (Thus it might become obsolete due to low sales, which would make me trouble.) Maybe it would be also reasonable to add it additionally to the VGA list. (I think I found it in this listing some years ago while searching for VGAs.)
Funny thing: I just found it in another listing (while looking for ADL5390):
Vector Modulators | Analog Devices
But I would never have searched for it there ... It is a single channel device, thus vector is strange.
Let me talk with our website folks and try to get this cleared up.
Thanks for the feedback.
