ADuc7061 in the use of an external 32.768KHz clock, the internal clock ( 32.768KHz ) can be used? Sleep mode, internal and external clock stop?
It is possible to use an external 32 kHz crystal with the ADuC7060/61 and the internal 32 kHz oscillator.
Core clock is generated by the PLL from the 32 kHz clock source. The source is selectable in the PLLCON register.
The internal oscillator cannot be powered down. It is used to clock the watchdog timer for example. It can also be used by the wake up timer.
The external crystal circuit can be powered down in the POWCON0 register. Ensure that you have implemented a way of waking up the device, either with external interrupt or with the wake up timer clocked with the low power oscillator for example, before powering down the external crystal circuit and the ADuC7060/61.
Please refer to the table below, listing the blocks that can be active in the different power saving modes.
