Hi to all, does exist MEMS accelerometer with digital interface (I2C or SPI) giving acceleration module (vector on XYZ plane and/or XY plane) directly to output, instead calculating using microcontroller?
Thank you for your post. Does the ADXL355 or ADXL357 meet this definition? If not, can you help us better understand your need, as the internal architecture is not a very common selection criteria. Thank you!
I'll use MEMS accelerometer to detect acceleration peak during earthquakes and automatically shutdown equipment if acceleration threshold exceeded.I can evaluate module (in XY plane or XYZ system) through microcontroller after reading X, Y and Z acceleration components, but it would be faster if these values are given directly from accelerometer.I've seen there are programmable interrupts when exceeding threshold value (but this for every axe), if I correctly remember there was an accelerometer giving as output directly accelerometer module (XY or XYZ) instead single component (X, Y, Z).I forget to say fullscale would be maximum 2g.

Thanks! To my knowledge, the ADXL35x devices do not offer combined acceleration values, so this function will likely have to be through some sort of embedded processing.
