Hi ,

I have doubt in calculating the Vout of ADL5902. I calculated Vout using this formulae (VOUT = VSLOPE × log10(RMS(RFIN)/VZ))

Whereas Vslope=38.3mV, RMS(RFIN)= 223.607 mV(0dBm), Vz=0.8.

For above assumption I expect output voltage of 2.49V.but I didn’t get proper output value. If possible can you please explain how to calculate

1)Intercept voltage (Vz) for frequency range of 400MHZ to 6GHZ

2)Vslope

3)Vout

It's much simpler if you work with the intercept in dBm format. In the Theory of Operation Vz is referenced. This is interesting but a bit impractical and complicated. In dBm, the intercept is around -60 dBm and the equation for Vout becomes

Vout = Slope x (Pin - Intercept)

where Vout is in volts, Slope is in V/dB and Intercept is in dBm (note that this is the x-axis intercept).
