I am designing a reflectometer using AD8302 as given in its datasheet using ADS software. The s parameter files provided in the website contains only s1p files. Can anyone provide me the s2p file for AD8302
The transfer function of the AD8302 is a RF-to-DC type, so .s2p files are probably the wrong format for this. Also, an s1p/s2p file is usually at a single input power (which you configure on the VNA before taking the measurement). The real value of the AD8302 (or any detector for that matter), is that the DC output changes in a very well know fashion (it has a slope and intercept) with specific changes in the RF input power, i.e. the VMAG output voltage on the AD8302 will change by roughly 28mV for every dB of input power that is changed, on either INPA or INPB. This transfer function is detailed in the datasheet in several TPCs on pages 6 & 7.
Can transfer function be used for AD8302 in ADS software to check the system design of reflectometer? If so how can we get it?
The measured transfer function is shown in various conditions in TPCs 1 through 6 on page 6 of the datasheet.
The ideal mathematical transfer function is shown on page 16, in equation 8b. More details of the equation are given in the proceeding paragraph on page 16 and Figure 5, all of which are found on page 16.
