Please suggest nearest equivalent to AD5546 with serial data_control bus , SPI or I2C, Application is AC Signal Attenuator, Frequency < 1KHz, 16 bit DAC required.
You may want to check out AD5544 and AD5543 as they are 16-bit MDACs with serial interface, though they just don't have integrated 4-quadrant resistors.
If you do not need the built-in 4-quadrant resistor, you may want to take a look at AD5543.
How many channels do you need by the way?

Three Channels required. Four Quadrant resistors in the chip preferred. 16 bit wide resolution and span desired. Application is to generate 3 phase AC Sine wave signal under program control. Frequency 50 Hz to 2 KHz. Use of three independent DAC chips acceptable.
Basically, AC sinewave signal to be attenuated from 10 volt to at 0 with a step resolution of about 5 mV precisely.
I would suggest you to use AD5546 as it has the four quadrant resistors integrated on the chip. Are there any challenges you experienced with AD5546?
Thanks for suggestion. AD5546 should be good chip. Since this is a parallel input 16 bit DAC and I need to use 3 of these in my application; I'll need more glue / interface chips.
Serial input version of AD5546 can make things simpler. DACs in my application will be updated in every few tens of milliseconds. Serial input DAC should meet the requirement and will save board space and glue chips.
Therefore I looking for SERIAL input Multiplying DAC.
