On page 15 of the data sheet, Figure 30 shows an equivalent diagram of the analog inputs with two protection diodes. The section states the inputs can stand a current of 130mA. On the absolute maximum ratings the maximum current for any pin is 10mA. I would like to confirm if those 130mA are OK as it would facilitate my design.
We have a FDA feeding the analog inputs through resistors and protection diodes were also added with a similar arrangement as in Fig. 30. However we are running out of space on the PCB layout so it would be very helpful if those external diodes could be removed as they seem to be redundant.
