RF Phase Sync

I have multiple AD9361 that I need to synchronize the RF phase.  I'm already doing the MCS for the baseband.  That's working.  I've read your documents on RF phase sync and IQ correction.  My question is: If I have the system configured for FDD and TX and RX are at different frequencies, can I still do the RF calibration?  Don't I need to set the frequencies to be the same to transmit/receive a signal from one chip back to another?  If so, doesn't the RF phase change and invalidate the calibration once I change the frequency back to the normal operating frequencies?

Thanks.
