Why the UART stops when not in debug mode?

Hello guys, I'm working on a prototype using the EVAL-ADuCM350EBZ. The power and communication with the PC are from the USB-SWD/UART-EMUZ.

The application intends to keep sending the AFE results through the UART, but the code only works when in debug mode.

As reference I used two examples from the SDK: the Uart_CharEcho and ImpedanceMeasurement_2Wire. The first one works fine when not in debug mode, but the second (the one from where I'm developing the prototype) stops after the first iteration loop inside the main().

Does anyone knows how to fix this? I tried already to disable the WTD and compared both codes, but didn't find any solution.
