Change pluto device parameters during Simulink model execution

For a practical assignment, I want to create a basic Simulink model in which several properties of a common transmitter/receiver can be demonstrated. For that, it would be nice to be able to adjust parameters such as the bandwidth, sampling frequency and center frequency during model execution, just like the IIO Oscillator application is able to do. 

Using the support package for Matlab, the pluto blocks are not tweakable during model execution. The AD3961 model could be a savior, as all parameters are inputs. However, that model requires a network connection, which has only worked once in Windows so far. As I want to provide a stable environment, the USB connection is preferred.

Are there any other methods of adding some tweakability to the Simulink models?
