Is there a MatLab model or similar for the AD9164 RF DAC?
I would particularly like to model the different options for up-conversion.

Once you've been able to determine whether you can use the DAC to construct the signals you want, you can then move to acquiring an eval board or samples.
Unfortunately, we don't provide Matlab model for our DAC products.
Ok, in that case, is there any more/clearer information available other than what's in the spec on interpolation, up-conversion and sample-to-JESD204b clock setup.
I need to decide the full clock, synch and frequency plan before I get my hands on DACs and FPGAs.
For a device this complex, at least a functional HDL model (Verilog/System-Verilog...) would be most welcome if a more performance base one isn't .
I have already made the mistake of believing the Sale figure of 12Gsps, which isn't supported by the JESD204b interface, this should be much more clearly stated.
It's been mentioned in the datasheet that the instantaneous bandwidth of signal is limited by JESD204B spec and it can's go beyond 2.5GSPS. However, using FIR85 and 2xNRZ mode (or MixedMode) signals can be synthesized up to 12GSPS.
We are not providing behavioral models for this DAC. Our goal is to try to make the datasheet clear enough for customers. If you have a particular question regarding any part of this DAC, I'd be more than happy to help you out.
Ok, here's what I want to do.
I would like to maximise the processing and reconstruction OSR of a 1GHz signal band which I process as an I/Q Base Band from -500MHz to +500MHz.
First of all, I believe, with 5GHz Fdac, that I can get a 1-2GHz output band at 10Gsps, by upsampling 4x and mixing with an NCO carrier of 1.5GHz.
Is that correct?
Secondly, Can I do better? Can I somehow create the same output band 1-2GHz from a 3Gsps input and get 12Gsps?
E.g. Can I use Fdac=6GHz send a 50-1050MHz real band at 3Gsps for 4x upsampling to generate a 1-2GHz, 12Gsps band by mixing with a 950MHz NCO carrier?
