Whenever i am trying to connect with FMCOMMS5 board using IIO and calibrating for MCS,ie,clicking the TX1B_A to RX1C_B or any of the five options, the IIO GUI crashes and the following error comes:
Please help me out with the same.
The regular option is: zync-zc706-adv7511--ad9361-fmcomms5
You use the zync-zc706-adv7511--ad9361-fmcomms5-ext-lo-adf5355 only if you want to use EXTERNAL LO.
In this case the LO FREQUENCY is provided by a single ADF5355. Please see FMCOMMS5 Rev.B issue here:
Using the external LO option on FMCOMMS5 will limit the tuning range and of course the ability to tune RX and TX to different frequencies. The advantage is that the phase ambiguity between the devices is either 0 or 180°.
Can you repost the error? Something didn't copy and paste correctly.
Also is OSC running on the board or remotely?
Sorry for late reply. Attached is the error that I am getting when I am trying to calibrate.
OSC is running on the board
Can you try to delete C:\Users\FOOBAR\AppData\Local\.osc_profile ?
Its still not working. IIO is crashing down while calibrating. Attached is a screenshot of the same.
Can you try performing this calibration on the board itself in osc? This is the most reliable method usually.
The problem is occurring when we are using the folder zync-zc706-adv7511--ad9361-fmcomms5-ext-lo-adf5355 to copy the files in sd card.Whereas when we are using the folder zync-zc706-adv7511--ad9361-fmcomms5 to copy the files calibration is happening properly. Can you tell me when to use the folder zync-zc706-adv7511--ad9361-fmcomms5-ext-lo-adf5355 .
Thanks for your reply.
