I have a question about AD7606 set up time. Please take a look at the attached file.
How long should I estimate the set up time?
May I ask what was the status of the previous status of the AD7606 before applying the sinewave? The AD7606 when powering up needs time to settle and recommended to have an initial reset after power up. Once settled then a CONVST signal then can be force to the AD7606. Can you also share some plots showing the delay. Thanks.
Thank you for supporting this case. The sine wave is applied enough time after the AD7606 is settled.
The plots you requested is showing the input (sinewave), output and CONVST voltage. Is it enough, or you need any more signal?
I apologize. The answer to your concern was that the AD7606 has a spec called group delay. for +/-10V range it is spec at 11us.
What is the group delay and does it depend on the input range? If the input is smaller than +/-10V range, the group delay becomes longer than 11us?
The range I am referring here is the setting of the RANGE pin. The AD7606 RANGE pin selects if the input is a +/-5V when this pin is low and +/-10V when this pin is high. The group delay spec is in table 2 analog input filter section of the datasheet. +/-10V range group delay is 11us while +/-5V is 15us.
