Dear all,

Currently, I'm digging the ADF4159 Evaluation board with some specification and software program. Unfortunately our hardware and RF engineer resign the company without no message, But I've got a little bit knowledge to prove the output of ADF4159 frequency output.

Basically from the ADF4159_setting_250us_triangular.txt. I'd like to have every register set from 250us to 500us by 1us unit.

So I have 2 kind of questions,

1.Can we calculate the output frequency with the below setting values?

I'm trying to understand the output of frequency, but it's quite a bit hard to me. So Would you please help me how to calculate or estimate the output frequency from above setting value?

2. I need every register set from 250us to 500us by 1us unit. But I can't do this because the rack of knowledge, so Would you mind help me to get the register set ? what am I supposed to do if I want to get 251us and 252us 253us...,500. register set?

Multiply the step time (0.84 us) by the number of steps in R6[22:3] to get the ramp time. For example 0.84us * 297= 249.48us. Since R6[22:3] can only be an integer you will not get an exact 250us ramp time with CLK1=3 and CLK2=28. You need...

250us = steps * CLK1 * CLK2/Fpfd

steps * CLK1 * CLK2 = 25,000

Now pick any values which satisfy the above equation. For example CLK1=5, CLK2=5 and steps=1000 will produce an exact 250us ramp. Keep in mind the total ramp frequency deviation is Fdev*steps.
