Q
The AD595 is laser trimmed for type K (chromel-alumel) inputs. Can AD595 be
used to measure N type thermal couple? If OK, will the schematic require some
changes?
1. the temperature is <1200 degree;
2. Ambient Temperature. 25 degree;
3. +-1 degree accuracy;
4. Customer will do the calibration.
A
Since they are doing calibration, they probably already multiply the reading by
a gain and offset in the digital domain. They can do the same thing with the
AD595 and N type thermocouple, but the gain they use will change with the
temperature reading. Attached is a table of the output voltage of the AD595
when it is connected to an N type thermocouple. This table can be used to
convert the AD595 voltage to the correct temperature in the digital domain.
