Question
I am writing to you because I have a question about the way one of your chips
works. The one I am talking about is the AD595 in its two performance grades (C
and A). The datasheet says that the C and the A versions have calibration
accuracies of ±1°C and ±3°C, respectively. My question is as follows.
If I add a trim circuit such as the one in figure 5 at the application note
AN-369 (calibration circuit), do I get the same output with the two grades (A
and C) once the chip is calibrated?
Answer
Yes, if the ambient temperature remains at 25degC, however as the temperature
changes the C grade will have a reduced error over temperature in comparison to
the A grade.
