Question
We have a problem with the self-test of ADIS16209 at power-on. Is it correct
that there is a possibility to disable this function at the power-on setting
the bit 10 in the register MSC_CTRL? We have tried to do this but it was not
possible to set this bit. So we also tried to set another bit (ie bit 1) to
check if our write function works and we didn't have any problem. We would like
to know if there is any problem with disabling self-test at power-on or there
is any trick/workaround to do this.
Answer
Please check if you performed a flash update, after you set MSC_CTRL[10] = 1,
but before you re-start the device. The flash update saves the setting in
non-volatile flash memory, so that it will restore upon a power cycle or reset.
