Question
My customer has application using our products to measure rotate speed of
motor. They change now to the new ADXRS610/613/614 devices. In my customer's
old design, they could extend the measurement range of ADXRS150 with an
external resistor as explained in that datasheet. You recommend to designs with
ADXRS150/300 should upgrade to
ADXRS61x, but can this product family increase measurement range?
Answer
Unfortunately the architecture of the ADXRS61x family does not allow for the
range extension of the first generation devices. (Using the method described
in ADXRS150 datasheet, the maximum range extension will be on the order of
approx.1.5x.)
