I am trying to decide whether to use glue or tape to stick the tmp36 temp sensor to metal and plexi glass for a research project. The glue or tape must be thermally conductive, but electrically non conductive. Cost and functionality are my two main concerns. Any advise?
Thank you in advance for any feedback.
The Mounting Considerations section on the TMP36 datasheet provides recommendations about this, i.e, “Thermally conductive epoxy or glue, which must be electrically nonconductive, is recommended under typical mounting conditions.” As to specifics, I saw one of our evaluation boards with its vias filled with the AE3030 thermally conductive epoxy. You might want to look into that.
