I am using TMP35 in an application whereby I sense the ambient temperature within a plastic enclosure, which is where the sensor resides. Insulated lead wires were soldered to each of the terminals of the sensor to easily 'escape' connections from within the enclosure, so that the interfacing Arduino does not have to be exposed to the heat generated inside the enclosure. I'm not sure if the lead wires (~3-6 inches in length, each) will affect my thermal measurements. I know the recommendation in the data sheet is to apply a dab of thermally-conductive epoxy to the joint made by the hookup wire and a given sensor lead ... will electrically conductive epoxy -- say, H20E from Epotek -- get the job done?
Thank you for your feedback and clarification!
