Can a single IC be connected to a thermocup with multiple channels in Cold Junction Compensation?

Thread Summary

The user wants to add analog cold junction compensation to 5 instrumentation amplifiers using a single LTC1025 IC. The final answer confirms that this is feasible if the cold junctions are at similar temperatures to the LTC1025, as demonstrated in the LTC1053 data sheet on page 12. A buffer can be used to distribute the LTC1025 output to all channels.

I have a multiple thermocuple signal conditioner and 5 instrumentation amplifiers. I want to add analog cold junction compensation, but it is too costly to add it to each circuit separately. Will it be a problem if I add the output of a single LTC1025 IC as offset to all 5 instrumentation amplifiers? Or can I add a buffer to the LTC1025 output and offset it to all channels??
