With the 1nA max DC draw by the input amplifiers, the addition of series resistors to thermocouple inputs can protect from ESD events. What would be a recommended circuit to protect against defibrillation pulses in a medical application? Defib pulse of 2KV with 65 J through a 50 ohm limiting resistor.
