mxfe board doesnt show up post Stingray board is connected in iio_info iio:devices

Could you please try to use the latest release (2023_r2) and see if the problem persists?

I downloaded the most recent version of linux - 2023_r2 Patch1 Image ( https://swdownloads.analog.com/cse/kuiper/image_2025-03-18-ADI-Kuiper-full.zip ) .

However, the problem still persists.

Stingray onboards fully. I have added a snapshot from iio_info - labels are similar - but names are bit different infact name for tdd label is fakedev ( not sure if this is okay)

I observed the MxFE boards status pins behvaiour as i was adding and removing the boards. 

- VIP0 is killed by the Interposer on HPC2 (regardless of XUD1a power)

- VINT is additionally killed by XUD1a being powered on VINT is only Green in C1 — the completely isolated state It disappears in C4 even though HPC2 is disconnected — meaning XUD1a's own power supply (Stingray) is interfering with the MxFE's internal regulator rail even without the HPC2 cable connected

We are currently investigating your problem, for the moment we recommend not desoldering anything. The fakedev label for tdd is completely normal.

There can sometimes be a voltage issue with the AD9081 when connected in this setup. Please check if the voltage across R1M, with everything connected and powered on, is over the 1.7 V threshold. If the measured voltage is lower than the threshold, proceed and replace R1M according to the documentation. However, if the measured voltage meets the minimum 1.7 V value, please run the fru-dump -i /sys/bus/i2c/devices/14-0050/eeprom -b command and provide us the output.

I am going to test the voltage across R1M and report.

If its lower than threshold, i will proceed for replacement. 

Post replacement of the resistance, I am able to see the device.

Thats alteast moving one step forward. 

However when i doing a simple Rx/ Tx check with MxFE - Rx is failing. What i have done is i have connected DAC0 with ADC0 with a RF SMP Cable.

I am generating a small 4Mhz pulse and trying to capture on Rx side. When i am doing this test with just MxFE - i am able to see everything. But when i connect the interposer board, XUD1a - Tx comes but Rx is failing.

i am attaching the files and data log

 192.168.10.2 - is ZCU102 . I am accessing the FPGA board from another board over Ethernet.

When the MxFE board is alone, i am seeing the following output from the code

but when i connect MxFE and the interposer/ XUD1a board - it stops at Rx.
