Question
I want to use ADG467 as channels protector.
In ADG467 datasheet page 1, is specified a normal operation from (Vss + 2) <
Vin < (Vdd - 1.5) range but in page 2 is specified a range from (Vss + 1.2) to
(Vdd - 0.8).
A- Vin is campled when exced (Vss + 2) < V < (Vdd - 1.5)?
B- Or is campled when exced (Vss + 1.2) < V < Vdd - 0.8) ?
C- Or when exced (Vdd - 0.8) is campled to (Vdd - 1.5) ?
Answer
We define the analog input fault free range to be equal to (Vss + 1.2) to (Vdd
- 0.8)..with the o/p open circuit.
When a fault occurs due to the power supplies being turned off or due to an
overvoltage being applied to the ADG466 and ADG467, the OUTPUT is clamped.
The fault condition ..when the input signal falls outsife the fault free range
above , one of the MOSFETs will switch off, clamping the output to either VSS +
2 V or VDD – 1.5 V.
