Question
Can the absolute maximum Voltage level (mentione in the absolute maximum ratings) applied to the control input pins?
Answer
The maximum allowable voltage that can be applied to the control input of the switch should not exceed the supply rails. We haven't characterized thedevice under such conditions, therefore we cannot guarantee correct operation within the datasheet specifications. The device may work, but as statedunder the absolute maximum ratings section, if the device is subjected to such stresses, long term reliability issues may arise. There are two possible solutions here:
1. load the FPGA outputs with resistors to ensure that the voltage applied to the control pin of the switch is within the allowablerange(GND=<Vpin<=VDD).
2. Change the supply voltage of the switch from 3V to 3.3V to be the same with the supply used by the FPGA.
