Can provide reference schematic ? the input end of S1 ~ S16 need to strengthen the ESD protection? Thank you!
Hello Aska,
I refer you to two of our application notes that deal with these issues:
If these don't help you, maybe if you clarify the ESD protection level you are trying to reach.
Kind regards,
Sean
Hi Sean
Thank you, the applied to directly connect the CVBS signal (camera), so I do not know is not required add ESD protection component , and another question, ADG706 output is not required add OPA compensation CVBS signal? Thank you!
Hello Aska,
The ADG776 has an ESD rating of 1.5kV HBM. If you think you need higher than that, you should add additional protection.
For your second question, I don't think I understand what compensation you require for the signal? Could you explain further?
Kind regards,
Sean
Hi Sean,
I'm sorry, do not know fengyun IC characteristics, help explain once again, thank you.
1.ADG706 is a single power switch, so need plus DC bias input to ensure that the input signal range of the specifications of the Switch?
2.ADG706 ON Resistance is 5ohm, the output signal whether it be affected?
Hello Aska,
For a standard CVBS signal we recommend that the part be operated from ±2.5V dual supply and that a termination is placed before the switch. When operated at ±2.5V dual supply, the on resistance has a maximum of 5ohms over temperature.
If you are not using a standard signal, please let me know what signal you are using and the load.
Kind regards,
Sean
Hi Sean,
So if the standard CVBS signals use a single power supply be a problem? Will need to use the dual power?
I use the camera signal in the test, the test is normal output(CVBS), do you have a suggestion? Thank you!
Hello Aska,
From my understanding, a standard CVBS signal is 1V peak to peak with no DC bias. Therefore, you will need to use a dual supply for the ADG706.
If your CVBS signal is biased above 0V, you can use a single supply, but you must ensure that the signal stays within the signal range of the switch; GND and VDD.
If your signal goes beyond the rails of the switch you will exceed the maximum ratings.
Kind regards,
Sean
