One of my customer wants low Iq road switch.
The Iq of ADP198 is 2.5uA typ/ 20uA max and is too large for his application.
The road current for his application is 10mA or less.
His supply voltage is 5.5V.
Then I will propose ADG701/702 or ADG701L/702L instead of ADP198.
I would like to double check with you that ADG701/702, ADG701L/702L can be used as low road current road switch.
Is there any precautions needed in this application?
Can I confirm what you mean by "low road current road switch"? Do you need a low Idd switch for an automotive application?
Yes, I need low Idd switch.
Idd of ADP198 road switch is 2.5uA at 2.8Vin and 20uA at 6.5Vin.
My customer need less than 1uA at 5V, less than 0.5uA of ground current switch is preferable for him.
His road is right, consumes around less than 10mA.
His application is not automotive.
Ok, I understand better now. The ADG701/02 could be a option as it has low Idd 1uAmax. But note its Ron is typically 2ohms comparded to 50mohms for the ADP198. Is the reverse current protection function of the ADP198 important in this application?
Another option would be the ADG801 switch, it has lower Ron and better current handling specifications.
