Channel Protection Device in tiny Package

Hello all,

I think you all know the famous channel protection devices from AD. Starting with the AD467 / ADG465, and followed by the ADG5462F.

All of the have two common attributes:

- they are fantastic devices

- they come in quite huge packages

I wonder if it is possible to build some kind of 4 channel ADG467 in a UDFN10 package.

The UDFN10 package is common for TVS diode arrays. It allows a nice pass-through pinout and is only 2.5 x 1.0 mm. This would be really cool stuff.

Do you agree?

    Thanks for the feedback on out channel protector parts ADg467/ADG465 and the ADG5462F. That is always great to hear.

    Is it size reduction you are primarily interested in? do you use a lot of these devices on a board?

    Or are you more interested in the pass through pinout?

    Hi David,

    on our products, we have up to 128 io-lines we would like to isolate.

    The pcb-size is fixed due to international standards, so size reduction is always a good idea.

    And a pass through pinout also saves space on the pcb, because it reduces via count and routing effort.

    Size reduction is always good, and I don't mind where is comes from. :-)
