ADG2128: how bidirectional feature works?

Reading the datasheet we have some doubt about the bidirectional feature of the device.

In the General Description seems that the direction of the signal must be configured in the device using I2C but in the Theory Of Operation seemes that using I2C we simply turn on/off any of the 96 switches to establish "link" between X and Y without defining any direction.
We are looking for a device that can switch Audio Signal in bidirectional way and that can accept to enabled multiple input to be connected on the same output (if needed)
Is it possibile?

    Hi Luca,

    Apologies for the late response.

    The ADG2128 allows any simultaneous switch combination. Ex: multiple X lines to 1 Y line or vice versa.

    The ADG2128 has a Load Switch Command that allows a number of switches to be simultaneously updated.

    For your application, it is recommended to first write the databits to turn on the first switch with LDSW set low, then to the second switch to nth switch. For the last switch the user can now pull LDSW to high to simultaneously updated all the switches.
