ADG707/706 as demultiplexer

Hi Andy,

Using the device as a demultiplexer is as simple as presenting your signal of interest to the drain of the device and using the address pins to select which of the sources you wish to connect this signal to.

What specific help do you need using the ADG707/706 as a demultiplexer?

So to be clear, for the ADG707 say, if I present a signal on DA (pin 28), set EN high then I can send that signal to one of the outputs SA1-8 by selecting the correct address on A0,A1 and A2 ?

Hi Andy,

Yes, that is correct. Once the ADG707 is enabled then the address pins will select which source from S1A to S4A will be connected to DA.

One more thing (which I don't believe is covered in the data sheet), is the output on the Source pins when used as a demux latching ?  In other words, are they acting as sample and hold "remembering" the output or will they drop low when not selected ?
