Difficulty in Setting Up MAX14808EVKit with MAXINT1 Interface Board

Thread Summary

The user is experiencing issues with the MAX14808 EVKit and MAXINT1 interface board where the output voltage at OUT1 remains in the millivolt range and does not respond to GUI changes. The support engineer suggested checking the device manager to ensure the MAXINT1 is detected as a USB device and provided a link to the MAX14808 Evaluation Kit Board Quick Start Guide for troubleshooting. The user confirmed the MAXINT1 is detected as a 'USB Composite Device' on Windows 11 Home Edition.

Hi, I am trying to use the MAX14808 EVKit alongside the MAXINT1 interface board to generate pulser signals to drive an piezoelectric transducer. I followed the step-by-step guide provided in the datasheet for the evaluation kit (with maxint1 interface board) available at analog.com. However, when viewing the output signals at OUT1 on the oscilloscope, the voltage signal doesn't seem to respond to changes in the GUI. The output voltage remains in the millivolt range, indicating to me that no signal is being picked up, but just noise. The frequency is ad-hoc as well. My team and I have tried to give an external +5V at VCC_Ext in case that the USB port of our device was not able to supply enough current for VEE to be generated on the EV kit from VCC coming from the MAXINT1 board.

Could anybody please share some online resources to assist? It'd be greatly helpful if somebody has a video outlining the steps, showing the connections etc, and the voltage signal as desired being viewed on the oscilloscope?

Apart from the above, could somebody also clarify are the outputs at OUT1-8 and/or TLVOUT digital or analog? What voltage peak is to be expected at OUT1-8 for say 2.5MHz, and 0.5A? Is there any table that informs what voltage is to be expected for the given frequency and current presets? I've looked through the user guide and there doesn't seem to be any information about the voltage of the output signals.

Thank you so much!
