MAX14724

Category: Hardware
Product Number: MAX14724

The Analog website lists the MAX14724 as active and "RECOMMENDED FOR NEW DESIGNS" yet the major suppliers (DigiKey, Mouser, Arrow, etc) list this product as obsolete and have no stock. What is the status of this part?

  • I have the same question.  Is the MAX14724 recommended or is it obsolete?  The product page says it is "recommended" but the major suppliers say that it is obsolete. ADI says there are 36 in stock.

If it is still recommended, when will they be back in stock?  If the part is obsolete, what is the recommended alternative?

  • Hi,  .

The part is still in production and recommended for new designs. I also checked distributor websites and found some stock available. Could you please verify this again?

    Best regards,
    Christian

  • Hi Christian,

Thanks for the information. I just looked again at DigiKey, Arrow, Mouser, and Newark. The only part I see coming up at most of these is the evaluation board (MAX14724PMB1#), no components (ex MAX14724ETP+ or MAX14724ETP+T). DigiKey shows "discontinued", Mouser shows "restricted", Arrow doesn't carry it, and Newark doesn't list it.

If you know of another US distributor that has some in stock I'd love to know. Thanks!

  • Hi, Christian! Could you probably recommend or point out to any other modern (recommended) crosspoint switch matrix with similar low Ron, ability to work from +-2.5 dual supply and 4+ input outputs?

  • Farnell says "no longer manufactured"

  • Since it can sometimes be difficult to express exactly what one means in writing, I ask you to read the following with irony—one of the greatest human qualities—by reversing the concepts in order to grasp their true meaning.

This is the level of attention one expects from a market leader: responsible handling, real engagement, and support that reflects ADI’s role in the industry. In critical situations like this, support truly makes the difference and shows that partners are not left to face challenges alone.

Perhaps the cost of a service failure is not immediately visible, but the quality of the relationship built today shapes the decisions of tomorrow. And when a designer faces the next choice, they will know they can place their trust in ADI once again.

  •  I developed a device for my company around this component, and our investment can now move forward without being constrained by the huge ability to carry out targeted testing.

  • AI is making it impossible to write criticism, so I adapted.
