Product Number: MAX4527

The BOM for our product is calling out the MAX4527CUA+ which is unavailable. There are MAX4527CUA parts available. Please tell me the difference between the MAX4527CUA+ and the MAX4527CUA??

Hi,

It is related to lead free solder reflow compatibility. The PBFree model can tolerate the high reflow temperatures used with lead free solder flux. The none PBfree is the older leaded solder.

To add, the non PBFree model will likely have trace amounts of Pb in the lead frame finishing metals. In contrast the "+" model will not and is RoHS compliant. You will find more information on this topic here : Material Declarations | Analog Devices.
