Hi, I am designing an Analog Frontend with AC DC Coupling Option and IEPE interface which is also selectable. I am using lt3092 as current source and ADG5401 as analog switch to turn on or off the current source which will be injected into the IEPE/ICP accelerometer. In paralell to the ADG5401 Switch, i have a voltage divider with level shift of 2.048V. My goal is to use the input as generic AC /DC coupled and turn the current source on when required.
My system is single supply based. I dont have negative supply. When i test the resistor divider network input and output without the ADG5401 in place, my signal looks normal and output is as expected. However, when i install adg5401 in place, my positive peak of the input signal is fine but negative peak is clipped.
I dont have the actual schematic available right now but i have attached hand drawn schematic. I applied input signal of 10Vpp and positive part of the signal is intact which negative part is clipped after -2V (not precisely but there is some portion of the negative signal after which clipping starts). If i apply 1 Vpp signal it acts normal even negative part is intact. I expected this device to be worked as a relay. But somehow, maybe i have overlooked something in datasheet.
The problem is i have already designed pcb with this part. If its the normal behaviour of this device, kindly suggest what minimal changes i can do so that i dont have to revise the pcb. Or if there is an alternate part which will do the work. I was thinking to replace it with mechanical relay.
Remember i dont have negative supply in my system. Thanks
