Should channel currents be included in the total current consumption of the ADG5236 analog switch?
Hi,
The current consumption for the ADG5236 is specified in the datasheet as IDD and ISS. These are required supply currents for the VDD and VSS supplies respectively. For the switch to function your VDD and VSS power supplies need to be able to supply this current.
The channel current (Continuous current per channel) is separate, this is the maximum current that can flow through the switch, (for example, from S1A to D1).
