ADG901/ADG902 Maximum Voltage at RFC?

As opposed to using the ADG901 to switch a RF signal I was considering an arrangement where it only gates from the antenna through to the a receiver Rx, thus the signal power requirement is low. In such a circuit the ADG901 RFC port would be exposed to voltage levels well in excess of the VDD, thus the question as to what is the maximum voltage that the RFC port can withstand?

My suspicion is that voltages in excess of VDD are not tolerable, but I thought I would post to verify this.

Thanks,

  • Hello,

The maximum voltage which you can apply to RF1 or RF2 is from −0.5 V to VDD – 0.5 V. This specification is an absolute max rating which is a stress rating only. Operating the device in these conditions may cause permanent failure to the device.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks
