Analog devices Transceiver Toolbox v21.1.1 Version 21.1.1 QUESTIONS‏‏

Hi all,
we see your last update on GITHUB (https://github.com/analogdevicesinc/TransceiverToolbox/releases/tag/v21.1.1) which discussed about the Transceiver Toolbox support update for matlab that you provide.
we have the following questions which we would thank you if you give us some answers to them:
1. Is the SDupdater support custom board (not zc706 or zcu102) for other custom boards which involve the 7z035+adrv9002 if it does how I use the SDudapter on Matlab?
2. furthermore, why you choose in the recent update of the toolbox to use only the tx1 and rx1 chains(which involve the adc_1_* dac_1_* interfaces) and "neglect" the tx2 and rx2 chain (which involve the adc_2_* dac_2_* interfaces)?
3. Are you Supporting also external mode / debug and tuning on matlab for the adrv9002 ?

  • This was answered over email:

    1. SDUpdater is deprecated and hasn’t been supported since R2017a. Simply generate the BOOT.BIN and copy that to your board.
    2. The split DMA case was considered a lower priority feature for R2021a but will be available for R2021b. It only really limits the cases where RX2/TX2 have different rates than the main channels. This has limited support in the profiles as well, hence our reasoning.
    3. It’s on our development roadmap. We are talking with MathWorks to better understand the requirements for end users as external mode is a bit of a black box. There are specific packages required on the embedded system which are not documented. So if users want to roll their own or use PetaLinux (Not Kuiper) it should be documented in some form to enable use cases.
