I am using IIO Oscilloscope on a Zedboard target with an AD7768 8 channel device. On the target I can access the Register Map Settings under the Debug tab but when running from a remote computer the Register Map Settings are grayed out. Is there a way I can access the registers remotely using IIO Oscilloscope?
Thanks in advance
Register access is independent of the context, so it doesn't matter if you are onboard or not. What version of IIO-Scope are you using on the Zedboard and on your remote machine?
The target board is running the latest version of IIO-scope for Linux v0.11 from https://github.com/analogdevicesinc/iio-oscilloscope/releases and the remote is running IIO-scope for windows v0.6 from https://wiki.analog.com/resources/tools-software/linux-software/iio_oscilloscope?force_rev=1
Can you try updating the remote IIO-Scope? v0.6 is pretty ancient.
I installed the version from Dec. 2 2019 which is labeled v0.11 but when installed the about dialog says it's v0.99 but I'm still unable to access the registers. I tried it from a Linux remote machine using the latest version and I still cannot access the registers.
Let me see if someone has access to this board and just verify there is nothing strange with the driver. Lab access is a bit limited at the moment.
Register access works fine on other platforms/boards.
