I try to figure out for a few days now how a LVPECL works. It is said that you should terminate with a Vcc-2V which means in the case of 3.3 V , 1.3V.
I don't understand from this how can we achieve at the receiver side a Vdiff of 800mV and V common mode of 2V (so swing between 2.4 and 1.6V). I tried every possible termination with thevenin, T or PI network resistor, it never game me this.
The only way I could achieve this is to assume a voltage drop in the emitter.
Any information about this to enlighten me would be amazing !
