EVAL-AD5933EBZ board to work with a dsPIC30F3013 microcontroller

Question

We have an evaluation board for my team that is an EVAL-AD5933EBZ, I need to get this board to connect and communicate with a dsPIC30F3013 microcontroller which is part of our requirements. I am trying to figure out how to get these two to communicate, as the Evaluation board comes with a USB cord and specific software and the PIC3013 will require hex code from the PC, little push in the right direction would be nice here, just trying to figure out how ot get them to communicate in a Slave Master formation.

 Snorlax's suggestion is a good one - in fact you may not even need to cut the I2C lines if the microcontroller jus sits there if it's not actively communicating with software on the host. 
 There is a no-OS driver for the AD5933:

 The microchip-specific example doesn't look like it's being actively maintained, but it might serve your purposes.
