Reg. Q1: You get IF=7mA with VF = 1,7V. When I study the datasheet, how can I be sure, the LED wil work at 7mA? The IF/VF diagram starts at IF=10mA, VF~1,2V . All Optical parameters refers to 20mA. It feels like R1 is a slightly to high for VP=5V.
