June Mini Series Challenge #1

We want to challenge you with some day to day questions our ADI employees might face.

Do you accept the challenge?

Here is the first question:

Our engineers have been doing some tests and checking some boards. They sent us this:

  • Can you tell us what protocol this is?
  • Can you identify the lines here?

We are curious to see what you guys come up with Slight smile

  • Interesting!

This looks like a I2C protocol interface with that start, stop conditions.

Oh, those stray surges? That corresponds to point of ACK on the bus and likely because neither master not slave is driving the SDA line. It's supposed to jump back to high at that point, but then comes the master/slave and drives the line.

Sort of delay,.....I suspect on the pull-up resistor values.
