• "hello world" circuit with op42

    Sorry for this post, I am guessing it is extreamly basic but I just cannot get around it.

    I am using an op42, The connections are:

    1 (NULL) -> Not connected

    2 (-IN)     -> through 10k to (6) and through 10k to signal

    3 (+IN)    -> GRO…

    Hi Aaron, 

    Is there a restriction on the package you will be using? The OP42 has lower bias and offset current, but consumes more power compared to the LM108A. Which specs are important in your application?

    Your best bet is probably to just look through our op amp selection table. There, you can search for amplifiers that meet your supply and slew rate specs. At first glance, something like the OP42 may fit your needs.

    I can think of over 60 opamps with a 40V/usec slew and less than 0.5mV offset that run off 30V rails. I would also be looking for a low input bias current as a 200Hz filter needs large RC time constants, which you would probably want to generate…
