• Use LTC7860 as a surge stopper and pass MIL-STD-1275D

    Dear ADI Expert,

    We would like to use LTC7860 as a surge stopper and it needs to pass MIL-STD-1275D standard.

    Does ADI provide LTC7860 reference design which pass MIL-STD-1275D standard?

    我們有一個過電壓保護的需求, 需要過MIL-STD-1275D規範

    原本選用LTC7860, P-MOSFET 250V以上的RDSon都很大, 使用的話MOSFET功耗太大

    後來改找LTC7862, 因為LTC7862是用 N-MOS
    但LTC7862的Datasheet裡面沒有提到關於Floating Ground的說明與如何設計 (LTC7860有)

    可以請問

    1. LTC7862目前有符合MIL-STD-1275D規範的參考設計嗎?
    2. LTC7862 Floating Ground設計的部分有沒有一些設計的建議…

    Hi Martin,

    Please look at our MIL-STD-1275D reference design, DC2150A-C, but note that is for a 4A load. Paralleling switch FETs helps only to reduce/spread DC power dissipation but doesn’t help with SOA since one FET (with a lower threshold voltage)…
