• Request the schematic review of LTC3638

    Hello,

    My customer is using LTC3638 in their product which is the LED light circuit in pteain passenger car.

    But they have some issue that sometimes LTC3638 or  Capacitor  in around circuit is damaged.

    So they need your advices abou their schematic first…

    Hi,

    LTC3638's absolute maximum input voltage rating is 140V (DC). Make sure Vin is always below this voltage. 140VAC input is too high (about 200VDC pp). Even 120VAC is too high (about 170VDC pp). Higher than spec Vin will damage the converter.
