• LTC2875 Interface Protection

    The last page of the LTC2875 Data sheet (Rev A) shows a circuit for IEC Level 4 protection against surge, EFT, and ESD.  3 Questions:

    1. Should there also be a 120 Ohm resistor between CANH and CANL as shown on the typical circuit on page 1?

    Can LTC2875  communicate at 250 Kbps?

    What is the data range?

  • CAN bus error by LTC2875 CANH-CANL waveform problems

    we are using LTC2875 for Devicenet Master and there are many error and wafeform ringings in industrial environment(very noisy).

    however, there are no error after i've just changed CAN transceiver as PCA82C250(NXP)

    same product, same circuit, same environment…

    Hi Sabastian, 

    Its true the dominant state is higher power, but the larger concern may be a continuous dominant state blocking CAN bus traffic. Other nodes cannot overwrite the dominant state on the bus if the condition is allowed to persist.
