• LT8611 damaged with absent input voltage

    Hello,

we are using the LT8611 for charging a 12V lead acid battery.

When the  24V input voltage is removed the LT8611 will be destroyed.

We added a diode like the recommendation from the LT8611 datasheet (page 18, figure 5) but this didn´t prevent the…

  • LT8611 IMON output not behaving

I am using the LT8611 for an MPPT solar charger design, based largely on a design from the following Analog article.

    My schematic is…

What about using an LT8611 controlled by the micro instead?

Like in this application of Perry Faubert. Do you suggest any newer alternatives to LT8611?

  • RE: LT8637 LTspice model

    Hi Fil,

    Thank you for your reply.
I simulated the part with a similar chip (LT8611) where I left the extra pins open. It did help me and we managed to build a working circuit based on that.

    Best regards,

  • RE: LTC3114-1 Application to Charge Supser Cap

    Hello,

with your Vin/Vout combination you do not need a BuckBoost regulator.  A simpler and cheaper Buck regulator with output current limit will work as well. Check out our LT8611 or LTC3637.

LT3663 might fit as well if you you can inrease your charge…

  • How to realize >100V battery pack gauging (SoC indication) using LT861X?

    Hi there,

Here is a BMS design question. How to realize SoC monitoring or gauging for a high voltage pack (>100V) involving LT8611 or LT8613?  Understand 2 or more LT861X need to be stacked.

Would like to check if there is any existing MCUs to match
